Privacy Policy

Pathfinder is a small travel game built by a solo developer. This document explains, in plain language, what the app collects, what it doesn't, and how to remove your data. If something here is unclear, write to the email at the bottom of the page.

1. Who runs this app

Pathfinder is operated by Yeonni Lee, an individual developer based in Seoul, South Korea. There is no parent company. Contact: liyanni1021@naver.com

2. What we collect — only when you choose

The core game runs locally on your device with no account. The following data is collected only when you opt in:

• Email and display name — collected if you sign in (Google OAuth or email/password). Used solely to identify your account for the optional Friends feature.
• Public diary entries — synced to our backend only when you explicitly mark an entry as "Public". Private entries never leave your device.
• Travel records — your passport country, visited cities, and trip counts are synced if you sign in, so friends can view them. Sync stops when you sign out.
• Photos — diary photo attachments stay on your device unless you publish them as part of a public diary entry.

3. What we never collect

• No location tracking, no GPS access.
• No contacts access.
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA / IDFV) and no ad networks.
• No analytics SDKs, no third-party trackers.
• No keystroke logging, no microphone, no screen recording.
• No data about other apps on your device.

4. Where data is stored

All optional cloud data is stored on Supabase, a managed Postgres provider that processes data under our instruction. The Supabase project is hosted in AWS Asia-Pacific (Tokyo). Supabase is bound by their own privacy policy and standard contractual clauses for cross-border transfers.

Local-only data (diaries, photos, travel state) lives in your device's local storage and never leaves the device unless you take an explicit action (publishing a diary, signing in with friends).

5. In-app purchases

Pathfinder offers a one-time "Pathfinder Lifetime" unlock for $2.99. Payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. We never see your payment method, billing address, or credit-card details. Apple sends us only an anonymous transaction receipt that proves you bought the unlock.

6. Children

Pathfinder is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The Friends feature requires sign-in and is intended for general audiences. If you are a parent and believe your child has shared personal information through the Friends feature, write to us and we will delete it within 14 days.

7. Your rights — how to delete everything

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any data we hold about you, free of charge.

• Delete an individual diary entry — tap the trash icon next to the entry in your travel log. Public entries are removed from our backend within seconds.
• Delete your account and all cloud data — email liyanni1021@naver.com from the email associated with your account. We delete all rows tied to your user ID within 14 days and confirm by reply.
• Delete local data — uninstalling the app or using iOS's "Offload App" removes everything stored on the device.

8. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, brokers, or any third party for marketing. The only third parties that process your data are:

• Supabase — backend hosting (data we explicitly send).
• Apple — for StoreKit purchases (transaction only).
• Google — only if you choose to sign in via Google OAuth.

9. Data retention

Public diaries and travel records persist as long as your account exists. Account deletion (see Section 7) removes all of it within 14 days. Apple's transaction receipts are kept indefinitely to validate your lifetime unlock when you reinstall.

10. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in a way that affects you, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, show a one-time notice inside the app on next launch.
